Meeting Sunday, Sept 13 @ 1PM for Minor Course Prep

We have a few spots on the course that still need some minor touch up. We will be meeting this Sunday, Sept 13 @ 1PM. Please show up if you can and lend a hand. Bring a rake and/or a weed eater if you can. If you have neither show up anyway and bring your bike and some work gloves. You can help us choose which course(see drawings below) to use or ride both and provide suggestions on how you think it should be altered. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Practice Races Begin Weds, Sept 16 @ 6PM

The clinics are over and the course is 98% complete. Practice races will be Weds, Sept 16 at 6PM. Helmets are must. Show up and hone your skills. Don't be intimidated if you are new to CX. This an excellent course to improve some aspect of your cycling skills. A tentative drawing of the course has been posted below. Certain course details are still a work in progress and all suggestions are welcome. Call your friends and show up. Any kind of bike is allowed. Just step away from the computer, rub your eyes once the sunlight hits your face, enjoy the fall weather, have some fun. You can do it!

Course Condition Update - August 29, 2009

Thanks to all who helped work on the course Saturday! We have about 85% of it cleared and groomed. It is shaping up quite well. We still have about 2 hours of work left on 1 small section where we will need a mower and a few people with rakes and a weed wacker. Once that section is cleaned up we will begin to hold the weekly races. We are not sure whether it's going to be on Weds or Thurs at 6PM. We do know that this will begin on Sept 9th or 10th. See the updates below. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to let us know which evening works best for you.

If you have an hour or 2 that you can donate in the next week or so, send Jeremy or any other GPCC club member an email(use the contact tab above) and we will try and coordinate a group to finish up this last section of trail.

And finally, this year, we will be reviving the old tradition of racing for baked goods and pastries!
